I know of an event
If you know of an event going on where you think the owners might be interested in showcasing the Winnitron AU, the best option is to contact us with all the relevant information and we’ll get in contact with them.
I’m hosting an event
So what types of events are we looking to showcase the Winnitron AU at? Here’s just some of the examples of events we’d be interested in showing it at:
- Game Festivals
- Game Jams
Please remember that events must be publically available to all, so don’t ask us to bring along the Winnitron AU to things like:
- Parties
- Private Events
The Winnitron AU requires internet access, either wired or wireless. Web access must be available for the machine to be operational. It literally can’t run without this.
It is also ideal that port 24 is forwarded to the machine so that we can still remotely update games and the launcher software, even while it is at the event. Please make sure that you organize internet access well ahead of your event as in our experience it can require permission from the local IT department (especially in regards to forwarding port 24).
It is also important to consider the location of your event, as this effects costs and availability:
Melbourne
Melbourne events are the most easy location for us to bring the Winnitron AU to, given that both John and James have easy access to the city.
Generally events located in Melbourne are okay, and you won’t need to provide anything. In some circumstances (depending on access and distance), you may need to cover travel costs.
Regional
We are yet to determine requirements for Regional events. Contact us if your event is Regional.
Interstate
We are yet to determine requirements for Interstate events. Contact us if your event is Interstate.
